We bought this (or one of the other wood types -- I'm not sure if I have walnut or pine or oak) at a Staples store, one for both of us. My husband, who works from home, eventually got a new desk so he could spread out, but I've kept mine. It's most useful if you don't have a lot of extras, and if you're not extremely messy. I'm cluttered, but the storage areas fit my tiny amount of CD's, allow me to stack papers, and pens and notes tend to collect around the monitor and get lost in the back.
Still, I rarely even close it up anymore, since I use my computer so much, and I don't really see the point of getting a new desk. I even put my printer down below the sliding printer tray so I could prop my feet up (always a necessity for me). It's a very comfortable situation.
So, except for the fact that it's easy to clutter because it's so compact and enclosed, it's a nice little spot to work in, and it hides wires from pets (being enclosed) better than more open desks. It also keeps the items on your desk away from pets and children, since you can close the doors.
I also find computers kind of unattractive, decorating-wise, and like the option of shutting my cluttered electronics away from prying guest eyes, so they won't see what a mess I can be.
^_^ All in all, I recommend it, if you want one for style and practical use. You do have to assemble it yourself, but it wasn't too hard.

I bought this computer armoire at Wal-Mart for 9.99. It is OK; not great. It is VERY hard to put together. My doors are crooked because they wouldn't go on straight. Also, some pieces were missing from the box, so I never did have a complete file cabinet. All in all, it does its job, but is definitely not a quality piece of furniture. Then again, what do you expect for the price?
I would recommend it for college students, or anyone looking to get by with it until they can afford something better.

This review is from: Sauder Orchard Hills Collection Wood Computer Armoire in Carolina Oak (Kitchen)
I wanted a compact way to have my computer in the kitchen and have everything hidden away- this was a perfect solution! Couldn't find it at Walmart, and paid through the nose for shipping, but it was worth it to me. Easy to assemble, and works/looks great. Just what I wanted!
